Staff Bios

SALON TEAM

ANGIE SELLERS has been with STOX & CO. for over 28 years and has 30+ years of experience in the salon industry. She studied at Coastal Carolina University and has studied under Roy Peters for advanced coloring. Angie is a Master Stylist and Master Barber Specialist, currently specializing in color, highlights, cutting, and keratin treatments.

SHELLY RICHARDSON is a Master Color Specialist and has been with STOX & CO. for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Georgetown HCP and has studied under numerous artists and has produced styles for the runway. With over 29 years of experience, Shelly currently specializes in color, highlights, and cutting.

APRIL HOLSAPPLE graduated from Harford H.S. cosmetology program in 2014 and became a salon leader at Haircuttery of brands from 2018-2020 (worked 2014-2020). She also received her certification in barbicide and olaplex in 2020 as well as studied under master artist and has taken advanced courses. She specializes in color. 

BREANNE BOEVE graduated in 2013 from Aveda institute in Grand Rapids, MI. She specializes in cutting, styling and color services. She is also certified in tape in, sew ins and Brazilian & Keritan treatments in addition she studied esthetics through the Aveda education program and has taken advanced education training courses. 

CHANDA ARROZ is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a BBA in Marketing. She received an award to attend the REDKEN exchange in NYC for her outstanding color work.  Chanda has been a stylist with STOX & CO. for over 20 years. She is a Master Color Specialist and specializes in natural highlights, smoothing treatments, and base color. 

​COURTNEY WILSON-TEDROW graduated with a B.A. from Francis Marion University. With over 15 years of experience, Courtney studied advanced color classes through Redken Exchange in Manhattan, NYC in addition to advanced clipper cutting through Wahl in Chicago, Ill. She has dedicated the last 15 years of her weekends to bridal hair and has had brides & bridal parties featured in many major and local bridal magazines, as well as online articles. Courtney specializes in foiling and multi-dimension highlighting. 

HOLLY COLEMAN graduated from Davidson community College in 2015 and earned a certification in Cosmetology. She has studied under master stylists and has taken advance color classes with International Artists. She specializes in coloring and advanced cutting techniques. Holly also loves finished styling and learning new things.

JESSICA MALLETTE is a Vidal Sassoon trained stylist who has worked in the salon industry for over 17 years, mainly in New Jersey. Jessica continues her education through WELLA and specializes in color and cutting. 

​JERI SWAFFORD graduated from Paul Mitchell cosmetology school, where she was on the design team. Specializes in color and blonding. Her work has been featured in print. 

JULIE MICHAEL is a Master Color and Cutting Specialist with over 27 years of experience.  Before relocating to South Carolina, Julie owned her own top salon in Chicago. She has been an Educator for DAVINES for more than 13 years. Julie is also a DAVINES North American Cutting Team Member, which has allowed her to travel throughout the country. She currently teaches and specializes in color and cutting.

KRISTEN FLOYD CLARDY graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Coastal Carolina University. With over 12 years of experience, Kristen has certifications in WELLA Color, as well as AVEDA Pure Form. She is a Color Specialist and wedding stylist. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and articles.

PRISCILLA PARK graduated in 2009 from New York Capri Cosmetology. Priscilla has taken advanced master classes and specializes in in color.

RACHEL KESSLER has been a hairstylist for over 21 years. She graduated from Aveda Beauty School in Milwaukee, WI. Rachel has traveled as far as LA, New York, Chicago and Baltimore for various hair classes. She also studied the Jacques Dessange’s French hair cutting method in New York. Rachel is a Board-Certified Colorist, specializing in color.

SAMANTHA AYLOR graduated from Excel Academies of Cosmetology and has been a stylist for more than 13 years. Samantha is a certified Great Lengths Extension Specialist, also specializing in color, color corrections, precision cutting, blondes, fine and thinning hair. She frequently travels to Chicago for DAVINES education with top DAVINES educators for styling and color, as well as cutting classes with Stephen Moody, Global Educator for WELLA.

SARAH BENTON graduated in 2022 from  Strand College of Hair Design. She has taken additional classes with WELLA and studied under master stylists. Sarah specializes in in hilighting. 

SARAH PAVKOV graduated in 2017 from Cuyahoga Valley Cosmetology Program in Breksville Ohio. She has taken advance courses in color and cutting through AVEDA education. Sarah specializes in blonding, balayage, and color correcting. Her work has been featured on AVEDA social media platforms.

SARAH ZALEWSKI graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College Cosmetology program in 2016. She has traveled and worked at numerous salons in the U.S. including Denver, CO, St. Augustine, FL and Myrtle Beach, SC. She specializes in precision cuts, color and is certified in hand-tied extensions.

​STEFANIE HAGAN studied Biology, Art Education, and Dance at Winthrop University. She graduated from the Strand College of Hair Design. Stefanie has over 13 years of experience and has been with STOX & CO. for more than 10 years. She specializes in custom highlighting, precision cutting, and color.

TAYLOR SCHULTZ graduated from Rogers Academy  of Beauty in Prescott AZ, where she studied advance techniques in barbering, cutting, balayage, color, and styling courses by traveling educators, including WELLA top artists. Taylor also completed the Bellami Extension Course learning four different methods of application. She specializes in blonding, dimensional brunettes, extensions, and mens cuts.

MAKEUP ARTISTS

VICTORIA EASTERLING has been Makeup Artist for more than 15 years and has received extensive training from LANCOME. She has taken master classes in makeup artistry, sales, and training coordination. Victoria has worked with LANCOME National Artistic Director, Ross Burton, Oprah Winfrey's personal makeup artist- along with Troy Duhe, and Robert Cook. She has also worked with LANCOME's National Makeup Artist for the SouthEast Region and Celebrity Makeup Artist, Ricardo Costelles.

WELLNESS SPA 

AIMEE MADAGAN has 18 years experience as a massage therapist having graduated from Shenandoah Valley School for Therapeutic Massage in 2005. She is National Board certified and specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, hot-stone, prenatal and medical massage along with other modalities. She is very passionate about her profession of almost two decades.

AMY SHEETS, LMT is certified in Reiki and Energy Healer. Amy Graduated from HGTC in 2021 and became a certified massage therapist. She studied Energy healing experience from Ashanti Yoga, Dawn Yager  in 2019. Amy Specializes in relaxing/healing massage. Prior to becoming a LMT, She was a certified surgical technologist and medical assistant.

DANA PARTHE graduated from New York Institute of Beauty in 2016. She is a certified master esthetician. Dana specializes in relaxation and personalized facial treatments.

RACHEL RHODES is a licensed Esthetician with over 15 years of experience and is our Master Skin Care Specialist. Rachel has attended various Eminence workshops and has had intensive training with the President of Eminence, Boldajarre. She has worked with Eminence for over 15 years. Rachel specializes in all facets of skincare.

KAITLIN NAPIER has been a Massage Therapist for over 5 years and Yoga Instructor for more than 8. She teaches Yoga at our Wellness Studio in Litchfield and specializes in 3 different modalities including, Iyengar, Power Yoga, and Ashtanga. In addition, Kaitlin has certifications from Yogi Beans- New York, Advanced Teacher Training for children with autism, Yoga for Warriors, and Pre-Postnatal Yoga & Massage.

LACEY W. GILMORE Lacey Williams Gilmore is a licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of experience in Mount Pleasant, SC. A wife and mother of three, Lacey has deep roots in the area where she grew up. She specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, and lymphatic massage, and also offers cupping, wood tool therapy, and prenatal massage, providing a holistic approach to wellness.

MAUREEN JANSEN is an advanced Nail Technician with over 22 years of experience, where she has received a Master Certificate from Creative Nail Design. Maureen has continued with education classes in Orlando and Illinois. She specializes in natural nail care as well as gel polish.

MORGAN PEGG graduated from Leon’s Beauty School in Greensboro, NC, where she also studied Business. Morgan has over 6 years of experience as an esthetician. She specializes in reflexology, body treatments, and all areas of skincare. Morgan studied at UNCG in business management and also graduated from esthetics school. She has over 8 years of experience Specializing in body treatments, reflexology, glycolic peels, and microdermabrasion.

MELISSA BUFFINGTON is a certified Pilates and Barre Instructor at our wellness studio. Her classes focus on quick and efficient workouts that provide the most effective exercise in a short period of time. Having over 5 years experience in the fitness industry, Melissa enjoys the mind and body connection and incorporates that into each class.

PAM SAWYER graduated from The Wellness Massage Center & Institute in ST. Albans, VT in 2011. She completed a National Certification Exam and began practicing massage at Chittenden County Chiropractic in Essex Junction, VT. For seven years she worked as a Massage Therapist in Vermont. Pam completed several Continuing Education classes with a specialty in Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release Massage. She then moved to Miami, FL in 2019 where I continued to practice massage and take classes in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2022 Pam moved to Pawleys Island, she is licensed in both Florida and South Carolina. 

MANAGEMENT

LEAH RIGGS is our Client Relations General Manager for all locations.  She studied at PENN FOSTER for Medical Management and Telecommunications Management. Leah specializes in customer service, management, and bridal & special events coordinating.

ALLISON WELKIE is the Guest Relations and Operations Coordinator at Stox & Co. Mount Pleasant. She graduated from Harford Technical High School with her cosmetology license and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Salisbury University. Allison specializes in customer service, management, and bridal & special events coordinating.

EMILY MEITNER graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Business Administration and minor in Communications.  She has worked in various customer service, event coordination, and salon industry fields. Emily is a member of Stox & Co. Guest Relations Team and is a daily operations coordinator

JACQUELINE GARCIA is currently pursuing an Associates degree in Business from Horry Georgetown Technical College. She is a guest services and operations coordinator at Stox & Co. Wellness Spas. Jacqueline oversees all guest service experiences.

SHAYDA FLOYD is our Operations Manager in Murrells Inlet. She obtained her BS in Health Promotion from Coastal Carolina University. Shayda specializes in customer service and management.

SUSAN MARTIN STOX-YAMASHITA is the Founder of  STOX & CO. She is Creative Director of all locations from concept to design. Susan studied Business at Emmanuel College, Theater at HB Studio in New York City, Film at Lesly Khan Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA, and The Campbell Center of American Sculpture under all Master Sculptors at Brookgreen Gardens. She is a graduate of Georgetown CCP where she studied Cosmetology Science. Her certifications include:  Art History, Egyptian to Pop The Key Movements from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Line Producer and Film Director from Hollywood Film Institute and Photography from HGT College. She has extensive studies in Salon and Wellness Spa Management Systems and has studied at REDKEN New York. Her work has been published and seen on the runway. 

Susan studied under award-winning special effects makeup artist Jeff Goodwin at Transformations FX Lab and has worked in the film industry on feature films. Her credits include:  White Men Can't Dance, A Walk To Remember, Radio, Dawson's Creek, and Dateline NBC, just to name a few. She produced and directed the documentary series, "The Creative Mind" in NYC and received recognition on CNN International for her film footage with New York fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra. She is a member of The Friends of Brookgreen Gardens, The National Sculpture Society, and has served on several College Advisory Boards.

Susan has traveled throughout North America, South America, Europe, South Africa and Asia which has allowed her to bring a unique style to the business.  She recognizes that success begins with a dedicated team and is very proud to work with a professional group every day.
